Welcome to the Renal Care Glan Clwyd Website. This is an independant website designed and edited by the patients and staff of the Renal Unit at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan, North Wales.

We try to give visitors to the site which has the support of The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board formally The North Wales NHS Trust information guides and links to all aspects of renal treatment and we hope that whatever your interest in renal treatment might be, you find the information within the site interesting and informative. "Welcome to the Renal Care Glan Clwyd Website. Developed by patients and staff at the Glan Clwyd Hospital Renal Unit, this is an independent site from The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Website. It has been designed to give you, the people of Conwy & Denbighshire, and all the patients who visit the Renal Unit, valuable information on the services provided there.

As part of the development of Renal & Diabetic services, we are pleased to announce that in the Autumn 2004 new premises where opened on the Glan Clwyd Hospital site. This new facility will provide more space for the service now and will also provide capacity for future expansion. It has been designed in conjunction with patients and staff, and we hope it will ensure that the Board continues to deliver a patient friendly and efficient service in bright, new and welcoming surroundings. The new Unit is situated at the front of the main Hospital, on the right hand side of the main complex. More details on this new facility will be included on this website shortly.

Our Renal Unit also gets great local support from the Friends of Renal Care Glan Clwyd, a patient and carer run charity we would like to thank them for their support and look forward to continuing to work with them for the benefit of all patients.

We welcome you to our website which we hope you will use on a regular basis to keep up to date with the day to day work of the Glan Clwyd Renal Unit.
